Crestor works by reducing a certain enzyme within the body that produces cholesterol. It belongs to a class of medications called statins.
Cholesterol is a form of lipid, a waxy substance that helps your body make cells, vitamins, and certain hormones. It is not inherently bad. Your liver produces an enzyme that synthesizes cholesterol to help with the above healthy functions.
Cholesterol is present before a mass defined as high levels of cholesterol. For the purposes of this medication, what’s in the body’s “bad” cholesterol is called.

People with cholesterol levels under 40 have a statin that is too high of a level for them to be diagnosed with serious illness.
Crestor should be taken about one hour before having sex. It is not meant to make you feel sleepy, drowsy, tired, confused, dizzy, irritable, or light-headed. The dosage may be decreased to a lower dose, or increased to 10 milligrams based on individual response and tolerance.
Crestor should be taken at least one hour before other activities or recreational activities. It is not intended for routine activities or sexual activity. Sexual activity is not recommended in individuals with a history of erectile dysfunction. Crestor is not recommended for use during pregnancy or during the last three months of pregnancy.
Crestor is not intended for use by women. Like other statins, Crestor can be used for other medical conditions as determined by a doctor or pharmacist. The medication should not be used by children under the age of eight.

CRESTOR 10MG TABLET may increase your blood sugar levels, especially in patients who are diabetic. It may also affect the way your liver works and so your doctor will closely monitor your blood sugar levels and liver functions while undergoing therapy with CRESTOR 10MG TABLET as a precaution.
The most common side effects of taking CRESTOR 10MG TABLET are muscle ache, constipation, stomach pain, dizziness, nausea and headache. Inform your doctor if you experience severe unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness along with fever after taking CRESTOR 10MG TABLET.

Rosuvastatin 10mg (Rosvastatin Calcium) Tablet is used to lower cholesterol (cholesterol) and triglycerides in patients with familial hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol in blood) who have a primary dysbetalipoproteinemia (a hereditary disease that causes high cholesterol in blood) or a high cholesterol-related triglyceride content (femur cholesterol). The recommended dose of rosuvastatin 10mg is 2.5 mg/kg/day. For the treatment of primary dysbetalipoproteinemia (high cholesterol in blood) or familial hypercholesterolemia, a dose of 5 mg/kg/day is recommended.
Take this medicine by mouth, with or without food. The dose is usually taken on an empty stomach or after a light meal. Swallow the tablet whole. Do not crush or chew the tablet. Swallow the tablet with a glass of water. Do not open, crush or chew the tablet. Do not eat or drink anything after taking this medicine.
If you are using the tablet for the first time, do not take more than 1 tablet per day. Crestor 10mg (Rosuvastatin Calcium) Tablet is for use by patients who have primary dysbetalipoproteinemia (high cholesterol in blood) and familial hypercholesterolemia. It works best when taken on an empty stomach, 30 minutes to 1 hour before a meal that contains high-fat meals. Do not exceed one dose per day.
Patients should be aware that the risk of hypercholesterolaemia is increased in patients with primary dysbetalipoproteinemia. Patients with familial hypercholesterolemia and primary dysbetalipoproteinemia may have increased cholesterol and triglycerides. Patients with primary dysbetalipoproteinemia and familial hypercholesterolemia may have increased triglycerides. Patients should be advised to use rosuvastatin 10mg (Rosuvastatin Calcium) Tablet regularly and strictly adhere to the prescribed dosage schedule.
